"One of the principles in the Waldorf school is to educate young people so that they can bring to the fore in the right way the whole of their human potential, as well as developing the skills they need to take their proper place in the world."

~ Rudolf Steiner,
Founder, Waldorf Education

History

Waldorf School of the Peninsula (Nursery though 8th grade) was founded in 1984 to address the great need, in this fast-paced and highly technological area, for a school that would address the heart and will as well as the mind of the student. Allowing young people to blossom as their physical, moral, emotional, and cognitive capacities unfold is the cornerstone of both the Waldorf curriculum and our environment. Waldorf School of the Peninsula currently serves approximately 290 students in our nursery through high school programs.
